Headed totally off the reservation here… got an assignment to ‘redraw and improve by 50% someone else’s drawing’. Wonderful exercise, and keeping the original artist in mind throughout, I thoroughly enjoyed working on top of someone else’s creation – a kind of absent collaboration. Keeping the original artist in mind, I can tell you that the effort of striving to come close to matching their talent has had me change my style, do things I never attempted and enjoy the area outside of my box. Thank you! On another note, I took my test Thursday evening for DJ stuff, and after looking over my notes, realized several areas that ‘need revisiting’.
